Previously, it was rumored that it would only take two days to repair the statue.
However, now the repair of The Merlion is reportedly taking over 2 months.
"We ask for public understanding as the works and barricades may cause inconvenience during this period," STB said in their statement.
As there will be scaffolding around the statue, it cannot be used for photography.
