Australian Sailor and His Dog Survive After 3 Months Lost at Sea

Trstdly - An Australian sailor, Timothy Shaddock, was found alive after being stranded in the Pacific Ocean for three months.

He was rescued by a Mexican fishing boat after being stranded at sea with his dog, Bella.

The Shaddoc team also felt grateful to be able to survive.

Shaddock's team landed in Manzanillo, Mexico, on Tuesday, 18 July 2023. They were checked for their health on board the Maria Delia, which saved them.

"I feel well, feel better than ever," a smiling Shaddock, who has a thick beard and looks thin, told reporters.

The city of Manzanillo itself is about 337 km from Mexico City.

The man from Sydney reportedly set sail in April from the Baja Peninsula in Mexico.

He intended to sail the Pacific Ocean to French Polynesia.

A few weeks into the journey, his catamaran was damaged by bad weather, and Shaddock was stranded at sea, surviving on raw fish and rainwater.
