On the day of the incident, the man told his wife he would collect firewood for the boiler in the outhouse.
Not long after, the wife received a sad message from her husband expressing regret and gratitude.
Feeling something was wrong, she ran out of the house. She found her husband with an angle grinder in one hand and his other hand badly injured.
The wife quickly called an ambulance. Paramedics managed to stabilize the bleeding before taking him to Mavormati District Hospital. There, the plastic surgery team reattached his hand.
Then this man was transferred to another hospital in Iasi. The doctor maintained the mobility of his left hand.
Families said that the man had been struggling with colon pain. However, he self-diagnosed that it was colon cancer based on online information.
The man did not seek professional advice. It causes his depression to worsen.
According to Romanian News, the patient is recovering well. He had undergone tests regarding the symptoms that led to his extreme action.
