In Turkey, a small cat named Midas recently went viral. Midas is a kitten who has 4 ears. She also has a permanent "mlem" expression and a heart-shaped spot on her stomach.
Midas was born in a family's backyard in Ankara, Türkiye. Her Instagram account has gained a large following, with 125,000 followers.
Midas' unique appearance was the result of a genetic mutation. That causes her to have extra ears and a jaw that doesn't fit properly. Even so, Midas was a very healthy cat.
Her oddity does not affect her hearing, according to Resat veterinarian Nuri Aslan.
All of her ears are connected to her ear canal.
Midas was one of five cats born from one mother. Canis Dosemeci was immediately interested and decided to adopt her.
Dosemeci explained that they had no plan of buying a cat. They just want to save cats from the streets and provide them with loving homes.
The name "Midas" was inspired by the legendary King Midas from Greek mythology. King Midas was known for his golden touch and unique donkey ears.
