Ingredients:

  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
  • 1 can (13.5 ounces) coconut cream or coconut milk
  • 1 cup white rum (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • Cinnamon sticks and ground cinnamon for garnish (optional)
  • Ice cubes (optional for serving over ice)

Instructions:

1. In a blender or mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, coconut cream or milk, white rum, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and ground cloves.

2. Blend or whisk the ingredients until they are well combined and the mixture is smooth.

3. Taste the coquito and adjust the sweetness and alcohol content to your liking. You can add more sweetened condensed milk for extra sweetness or more rum for a stronger alcoholic kick. Blend or stir it again if you make adjustments.

4. Before serving, give the coquito a good shake or stir, as it may separate while sitting in the fridge.

5. Pour the coquito into small glasses or cups. If you prefer a colder drink, you can serve the coquito over ice cubes in glasses.

6. If you like, you can garnish each glass with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon and a cinnamon stick to add extra flavor and make it look more beautiful. Enjoy your homemade classic coquito!
